Our story began with the shut down that sent millions of working men and women home and put the world on pause. As we sat at home, two doctors trying to cope with our new reality and navigate life with safe face coverings, an idea began to form.
WHAT IS BIAMO?
Bia means force and might. We are all summoning our might to overcome a great adversity, but through this we see unity and humanity.
The majority of face covering on the market today are cotton. This material offers mechanical filtration only. Natural silk, on the other hand, offers mechanical and electrostatic filtration. This is because silk has a charge that repels small particles, making it a superior face covering material. All of our Biamo Designs have registered US and International (PCT) patents.
